I love seeing how my designs live on their own. I love seeing them modified by other knitters, seeing how they get a new life and identity. I’m very excited when I read comments by knitters and see their fabulous pictures – it seems to me as if each person left a little bit of their soul in every stitch. So I decided that every Wednesday I will show an awesome FO that made me gasp. Hope you like what you see.
An absolutely fantastic sweater! Florka, the talented knitter behind this fabulous version of Yakushima, has chosen her color wonderfully. Not only does she look beautiful in red, but the texture on the fronts of the cardigan just pops. I absolutely adore the buttons she chose. It’s supposed to be a plain grandpa cardigan, but these flowery buttons give a nice feminine touch – like a cherry on top. I also love how she bound off the edges by purling the last row (if I’m right) – I have never used something like that but it looks very cool, doesn’t it?
