I’m so not used to positive ease. Most of my clothes are meant to be worn with zero or little negative ease, most of my sweater designs are similar, but this one is totally different from what I’ve made (or bought) so far. When I was in high school I went through a phase of “big sweaters” (who didn’t?) and this one reminds me those days so much.
It’s so soft and cozy. Every time I try it on I want the summer to be over to be able to wear it all the time.
I made the sleeves first. Since I needed to alternate two strands of yarn in every round I wanted to make sure the color is even all over. I also like making two sleeves at the same time with magic loop technique and that meant having 4 balls attached to my work. It’s troublesome, but I like it that way. It saves me a lot of time and prevents me from getting stalled on a design as I do suffer from a severe “second sleeve syndrome”. So all 4 balls were used and thus I also avoided knots in that part of the garment.
Sleeves are ready and now it’s just plain sailing all the way down to bottom hem so hopefully next time I show the sweater to you, it will be modelled and after blocking.
Happy knitting everyone!
