My stash is dominated by very few colors and for sure green is the most popular one among them. Here’s just a tiny sneak peek :-)
I bought 6 skeins of this wonderful Artesano 4-ply Alpaca a couple of years ago. It was at the beginning of my knitting journey and that was the first 4-ply yarn I touched. I was shocked that yarn could me that thin. You can imagine my reaction when I held lace weight yarns later on :-) Artesanos are still untouched waiting to be changed into some nice cardigan…
I have only one skein of this gorgeous shade of Drops Lace. I guess I should make a shawl with it?
I don’t understand why Araucania Botany Lace isn’t as popular as Malabrigo. It has a really nice twist, doesn’t pill a lot and the solids they have in their offer now are just fabulous. Well, this one is not a solid color, but that mixture of greens and grays easily found its way to my stash. I’m still trying to decide whether it should be a pullover or a cardigan. What do you think?
Do you also suffer from WIPitis? You will probably not find the name of this blahblah-itis in a dictionary as this is just what I call “a disease of too many WIPs”. :-) I definitelly suffer from a pretty acute form of WIPitis and one way to deal with it is a KAL. KALs make me actually finish WIPs and prevent me from the other disease which I call UFOsis. If you also suffer from any of those, I’d love you to join me in Knit-Alongs!
This month I’ve started Alecia Beth KAL.
It should be running until the end of September so if you’d like to join us, you can do it any time. During that time all participants will receive a 10% discount (more info is in my group) and as usual there are some yarn goodies, patterns and buttons to win.
You should also know that I’m not the only person running Alecia Beth KAL. If you speak German and would like to make your own cardigan, I strongly recommend joining Stephanie from MeinWollShop.de in her group.
There will be more KALs in the future. You can check them out in here.
Over-excited about the new website and blog. And yarn crazy :-)
You might ask me why now? Well, I don’t know. Maybe just because it’s holiday time in Poland and that means my site admin (yup, my Hubby) can help me manage the website and blog. The truth is that it was really high time. I’ve had a small Internet spot for a couple of years now, but it was my Polish blog talking about my family mostly. After some time it became flooded with yarn, yarn news, knitting and somehow “a family blog” became “a knitting blog”. During that time I tried to make it bilingual, but that was a big fail (with two small kids pulling you away from the keyboard when you’re trying to type something logical in both languages)!
Anyways, somehow I eventually decided to settle down and share my knitting passion with the whole world in here.
